The Medieval Banquet is held in the
unique vaulted cellars of Ivory House, itself set in a very
historic and picturesque location. This fine building is between
the East and West docks of St Katharine Docks, built in the 16th
Century as a safe harbour for merchant vessels.
The Banqueting Hall, where King Henry VIII still commands his
banquets to be held, was once a repository for the goods the
sailing ships brought back from the Orient. This includes teas,
wine, wool, sugar and as the name suggests, ivory.
The Medieval Banquet seats up to 420 guests and is an ideal venue
for entertaining clients from both home and abroad. We offer the
perfect setting for special events, including birthday parties,
anniversaries and pre-wedding celebrations. Groups of any size are
welcome to join in the fun or the venue can be booked privately
with the event tailored towards your needs.
