We've all been here so long because we're passionate about making the best British steering wheels ever. You don't spend your working life designing and making steering wheels, or more than twenty years varnishing rims or bevelling strips of leather, if you don't find great pride and satisfaction in your work. Half a century after the first Moto-Lita wheel was made, we all still find joy in holding one of our completed steering wheels - this is probably one of the most important things about us.

So, I did my research and made one (you can read more about that in The Irvin story). I loved it. It was warm, comfortable, ideal for flying and I must admit; wearing it felt rather good. Other people liked my jacket too and it wasn't long before we were asked to make some more. We began to accept orders and Aviation Leathercraft was born. 

It seemed to work out well. Supplies of war issue flying jackets were diminishing, yet demand for the jackets was high. We became very busy and our craftsmen did a grand job in meeting the demand for high-quality hand-made jackets. Then as now our jackets were popular with pilots, motoring enthusiasts, bikers and people who just wanted a great jacket for everyday use.

It's a sad fact that so many great films of the last century have never seen a release on dvd, and many never made it to video either. Finding these rare films can be very hard.
