Reel Streets
Website Reel Streets
Details

"ReelStreets" is devoted to film locations, and the places where movies were made. World wide.
Our coverage is concerned with scenes shot outdoors in recognisable built-up locations, and which incorporated some of our favourite actors, and how not only these movie locations have changed in the intervening years, but also our accents, our clothes, our food and our houses. A cinematographic social study. www.reelstreets.com
More than 350 films examined, with some 3500 snips/grabs from the original films and some 1750 "now" shots of the same scenes today.

The Portmeirion Hotel
Website The Portmeirion Hotel
Details

This beautiful and unique hotel is truly famous as the setting for the cult TV programme The Prisoner - the place known as 'The Village'. The hotel and its grounds were conceived by genius architect and designer Clough Williams-Ellis and are to be found in Snowdonia in north Wales. His vision was quite remarkable - to build a village consisting of Italianate and European-influenced buildings and follies whilst providing generous grounds for local and exotic-looking trees, shrubs and plants to thrive. But this is no model village or museum - it's a fine hotel which is open all the year round for staying guests as well as for day-trippers to sample the local sandy beaches and woodlands. There is also a shop which sells Prisoner-related memorabilia as well as several restaurants

Private Guided Tours Of London In Classic Minis – smallcarBIGCITY
Website smallcarBIGCITY
Details Robert Welch was given a bright red Mini Cooper for his 17th Birthday and began a relationship that was to take him from student to entrepreneur. Upon driving round London throughout his time at university, Robert noticed hundreds of tourists stopping to take photos of his little car. Robert dreamt of one day running a tour company that only used a fleet of classic Minis to take tourists round London.

Despite identifying a potential niche in the market, Robert wanted to cut his teeth in the City of London. Little did he know, his dream was far closer than he would have ever thought due to the economic instability at the time. Securing
a job in the financial industry in June 2008 was virtually impossible due to the recessive economic climate at the time.

It wasn't until a fateful interview for a less than desirable sales job that he met Oliver Knight. Oliver also happened to own a classic Mini Cooper and had also noticed the attention they created in London. It was not long before the
two budding entrepreneurs were creating business plans and pitching for investment towards the very banks they were applying for jobs in only months before.

Since then things have been moving thick and fast – buying Minis, setting up the website, obtaining the required licences, acquiring premises and staff, the list was endless! Despite the worsening economic constraints, 2009 was the best
possible time to launch a new business in the tourist industry; the appreciation of foreign currencies lead to a boom in visits to the capital. smallcarBIGCITY were able to go from 864th position on Trip Advisor's list of London's
attractions, all the way to 3rd within 6 months!

Epstein Guesthouse
Website Epstein Guesthouse
Details Epstein Guesthouse is the former home of the Epstein family. Brian’s father Harry grew up in this house along with Isaac and Dinah. The Guesthouse is Beatles Themed and houses the largest collection of Brian Epstein Memorabilia in The World which is on display to guests and tourists.

The Guesthouse has a fully licensed bar stocked with a number of beers, wines and spirits. You can pop in for a sandwich, a beer or simply for afternoon tea. We provide our guests with Bed and Breakfast at reasonable prices. We offer a True Beatles experience with our themed en-suite rooms complete with LCD Televisions, Free Wi-Fi, King Sized Beds and Tea & Coffee Making Facilities. There is plenty of Parking on site with a car park to the front of the building and an overspill car park to the rear.

The house is a key part of the Beatles story as Brian Epstein spent many of his childhood years here, having his nursery in our current Room 3. He and Beatles Booking Manager Joe Flannery would play in the house as children and form a life long friendship that would see them becoming instrumental in the success of The Beatles.

The Guest House is only two miles from Liverpool city centre with a frequent bus service. Epstein House is a great place to stay whether just visiting Liverpool for shopping at the Liverpool One shopping centre or the Albert Dock. If you’re a fan of The Beatles looking to go to the Beatles Story, we can provide you with discount tickets. For football fans you cannot get a closer B&B.

In addition to our excellent accommodation we have an excellent landscaped garden which is to become the Home of The Official Liverpool Council Memorial Statue to Brian Epstein. The statue will be created by renowned artist Tom Murphy who has previously been commissioned to produce a number of statues such as that of John Lennon, Billy Fury, Dixie Dean & many other Liverpool Legends. We are currently in the process of fundraising for the statue, so please keep watching the website for updates on events taking place.
