Neil
Armstrong (1930- )
The most fascinating pieces of memorabilia we have ever
handled
Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon.
That single event made him the most famous man on our
planet, overnight.
But he has always preferred a life away from the
spotlight.
It is the reason he has become the world's rarest living
signature.
His reclusive lifestyle led to doubts he would even turn
up to the Apollo 11 40th Anniversary celebrations in
July 2009.
He did show, but even refused to sign for Nancy Pelosi,
the speaker of the House of Representatives, declining
with a polite:
"I'm sorry, I don't do that anymore"
This is the most fascinating item of Neil Armstrong
memorabilia that we have ever handled...
The comb and scissors used by barber Marx Sizemore, to
cut Neil Armstrong's hair.
Accompanying the lot are 25 off-cuts of Neil Armstrong's
hair.
Included in the sale are copies of the legal
correspondence between Taft, Stettinius & Hollister
LLP, Armstrong's legal representatives, and barber Marx
Sizemore.
Also included are sworn testimonies from Sizemore
declaring the hair to be genuine:
A
fantastic discovery.

Marilyn
Monroe (Bra) (19261962)
For sale: Her most intimate item of clothing...
A black lace and mesh bra from the private estate of
Marilyn Monroe.
The bra is exquisitely handmade with superb attention to
detail.
As was the tradition in the day, it is boned rather than
underpinned, and includes the original 36DS size label.
Intriguingly the lace section of the bra is attached by
'poppers' making it removable for a more risquι
appearance.
Very personal pieces of Marilyn memorabilia have been
selling for huge sums at auction recently, with her
bathrobe famously selling for $120,000 - 20 times what
the seller paid just 10 years ago.
This fantastically crafted black bra is the most
intimate item of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia you will
ever be able to add to your collection.
Price: £9,500 ($15,675) SOLD |

Bob Dylan (Signed Music) (1941- )
Bob Dylan signed sheet music - incredibly rare
This sheet music, measuring approx 8x10", for
"On the Road Again," has been signed by Bob
Dylan in black fine tip pen.
"On the Road Again" was track 6 on the 1965
album "Bringing it All Back Home".
The songs on this album reflect the stylistic change of
Dylan.
It is his first album recorded with electric
instruments.
Dylan is one of the world's most sought after
signatures. It is doubly rare to find his autograph on
his own sheet music.

John
Lennon (1940-1980)
A very rare hand-drawing by The Beatles legend
A couple of amazing pencil sketches on either side of a
page from sketch book, executed by John Lennon during
his first year at Liverpool Art School.
The images show a thin shovel-footed percussionist and
on the reverse, various multi-eyed, strange limbed
musicians playing different instruments.
The images are quite surreal and express Lennon's rebellious
personality during his short time at the Art College.
The pictures have a few bends and tears which have been
well re-joined together.
A very scarce item and an important piece of Lennon
memorabilia. Few of his art-works survive.
For sale: £13,500 ($22,275) |

Elvis
Presley (19351977)
A signed vintage postcard photograph showing a handsome
head and shoulders shot of a brooding Elvis...
Wearing a plain black casual shirt the singer glances
moodily at the camera.
Elvis has considerately signed in blue ink with his name
across the light area of the image away from his
profile.
Forever popular with collectors, Elvis continues to wow
audiences 30 years after his death. He is regularly top
of the highest earning dead celebrity list, generating
$52m income in 2008 alone.
The photograph has one very slight corner crease,
mentioned for accuracy only, otherwise this is a superb
Presley item with one of his best quality autographs.

Marilyn
Monroe (19261962)
A scarce 1950s magazine page signed by a young Marilyn
Monroe...
The page features a stunning photo-shoot of a
bathing-suit clad Marilyn set against an article titled:
'super stars: the younger set'.
Marilyn has considerately signed a superb autograph
across the main image leaving a clear upper body shot.
There is some wear and tear to the edges of the page;
however the image and signature remain in superb
condition.
Marilyn memorabilia continues to increase in value
buoyed by a huge new interest from Russian and Chinese
collectors; we recently reported on how her bathrobe
sold for $120,000 - over 20 times what the owner paid
just 10 years ago.
Signed magazine photos are a rare format in which to see
a Monroe autograph. Superb.

Buzz
Aldrin - Apollo 11
Buzz Aldrin's Apollo 11 training suit, signed by the man
himself
A stunning piece of Apollo 11 memorabilia.
This flight coverall was worn by Buzz Aldrin during
training for the Apollo 11 and Gemini 12 missions.
The coverall was manufactured by L.W. Foster Sportswear
Co Inc, the makers of U.S. Military flight jackets.
It was supplied to NASA on 3 May 1961, two days before
Alan Shepard's Freedom 7 Mercury capsule flight.
Aldrin was selected as part of the third group of NASA
astronauts in October 1963.
According to different NASA accounts, Aldrin had
originally been proposed as the first to step onto the
Moon's surface, but due to the physical positioning of
the astronauts inside the compact Lunar Landing Module,
it was easier for the commander, Neil Armstrong, to be
the first to exit the spacecraft.
Nevertheless Aldrin held the record for the most
extra-vehicular activity (EVA) time until it was
surpassed on Apollo 14.
Aldrin has signed the coverall to the left-hand chest:
"Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11, July 20th 1969"
As an official NASA coverall used in Apollo 11 training,
and signed by Buzz Aldrin, this represents a supreme
piece of Apollo 11 memorabilia.
It is arguably superior to Michael Collins' Apollo 11
flight suit that was sold recently, which was unsigned.
As for provenance? Well, it originates from Buzz
Aldrin's personal collection. It doesn't get better than
that.
